Mail Sentinel is the first maintained beta module running on Sovereign AI Node.
Designed for: local-first operation, Matrix-native control, and multiple specialized bots on one small self-hosted node.
• Local-first, self-hosted control plane
• Matrix rooms as the command and audit surface
• Start with Mail Sentinel, add more bots over time
Self-hosted, open-core, and designed to be inspected before you trust it.
Sovereign AI Node is a small, self-hosted AI control plane for specialized bots. It uses Matrix as the command, audit, and coordination layer, so every action is visible and recoverable in your rooms.
It is not a generic drag-and-drop automation tool like Zapier or n8n, and it is not a single-bot product. You start with one maintained module—Mail Sentinel—and can add more bots later as separate modules, without assuming they already exist today.
Bots are controlled via Matrix rooms. Commands, decisions, and logs stay in your homeserver, under your keys.
Each capability is a module. You can run only Mail Sentinel, or later add other bots on the same node without rewriting your setup.
Open-core, self-hosted, and local-first. You can audit the core, build from source, or use the maintained appliance if you prefer a curated distribution.
Mail Sentinel is the first maintained module on Sovereign AI Node. It connects to an IMAP mailbox, classifies messages into signal categories, and posts results to Matrix rooms you control.
Messages requiring your decision or direct input, delivered to a designated Matrix room.
Invoices, payments, contracts, and messages with potential financial impact, routed to a financial stream.
Security-relevant or time-sensitive messages flagged for attention and, if needed, escalation.
Mail Sentinel is local-first: signal classification adapts locally from your feedback by updating runtime configuration and scoring rules on your infrastructure. Mail Sentinel becomes quieter and more accurate by adjusting those local scoring rules from your feedback rather than by sending mailbox content off-device for training. By default, no mailbox content is sent to third parties; adaptation and any learning are performed by updating local configuration/runtime rules, not by sharing mailbox data externally.
Compatible with standard IMAP providers (Proton Mail via Bridge supported).
Open core + Maintained Appliance — curated releases for operational stability.
The core of Sovereign AI Node is open source and auditable: it can be inspected, forked, and rebuilt by operators. The Maintained Appliance is an optional, curated distribution that bundles tested components to reduce operational overhead for teams who prefer a managed release channel.
• Public, auditable source code
• Build and deploy your own images
• You control release and patch cadence
• Intended for teams experienced in operating infrastructure
• Curated releases: core and validated components tested together
• Focus on reliability and predictable upgrades
• Lower operational burden; upgrades follow a stable channel
• Optional, opt-in acceleration features for high-demand workloads
• Read-only health monitoring for uptime and diagnostics
Acceleration features are opt-in and do not alter the local-first architecture. Health monitoring is status-only and does not collect message content or mail metadata.
The Maintained Appliance is a locally deployed distribution of Sovereign AI Node that receives curated updates. Mail Sentinel is the initial maintained module.
Hybrid acceleration is an optional, workload-specific add-on.
Bitcoin payments do not require storing personal payment data; a no‑KYC option is available.
These are beta prices and may be adjusted after stabilization.
Mail Sentinel is the current maintained beta module; Sovereign AI Node is the broader multi‑bot platform direction. Future modules are not currently available.
